Jade Carey reacted to fellow Olympian Hezly Rivera's 2024 recap, comprising a picture of them with the Olympic medal among other moments. Rivera was the youngest member of Team USA's gymnastics team in Paris while Carey traveled to the Games for the second time in 2024.
Jade Carey, was part of the 'redemption tour' after the US women's team silver finish at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Her contribution to the apparatuses earned the team gold in Paris and her efforts also placed her on the vault podium. Besides making waves on the gymnastic mat, the Tokyo Olympic floor gold medalist bonded with her team members, especially first-time Olympian Hezly Rivera.
In a recent Instagram post, Rivera summarized her 2024 season with a photo carousel, expressing gratitude to her close ones. The series had pictures of her Olympic medal-winning moment, celebrations with friends and family, WOGA Gymnastics days, LSU media day shoot, and other moments.
"2024 recap :) what a year. i’m so thankful to be with the people i love, and thank you for always believing and supporting me through all the ups and downs I’m’m truly so blessed🫶🏽 2025, see you soon Jereremiah 29:11," the caption read.

Recently, Rivera shared photos from her family vacation in Punta Cana, stunning in bikinis and spending quality time with her parents and siblings.

Though Rivera didn't participate in the team finals in Paris, she contributed scores during the qualification round to help the US team advance to the next round.

Jade Carey enjoyed a successful collegiate career with the Oregon Beavers, competing at the NCAA level while simultaneously preparing for the 2024 Paris Games. After winning silver in the all-around and floor events and bronze in the balance beam at the 2024 NCAA Championships, the 24-year-old expressed her intention to continue competing at the collegiate level and prioritize 'downtime' after the Paris Games.
"I think probably in the beginning, I’ll take it a little bit slow so I have a little bit of downtime. But you never know with me." (via Olympics.com)

"I feel like I can’t really [hold back]. I like to dive right in, but I’m excited to be able to really focus on my team this year. I’m not doing elite this year, so I just have them to focus on and that’s it. I’m really excited to jump in with them and be a leader and help get them to where we want to go.”
Carey amassed seven medals at the World Championships of which three are gold. She also has three gold medals from the Pan American Championships.
