Jakob Ingebrigtsen shared an adorable picture with his daughter Filipa, who he and his wife welcomed on June 25, 2024. The Norwegian came fresh off his 1500m title win at the 2024 Diamond League finals after finishing fourth in the Olympic Games.
Ingebrigtsen proposed to his then-girlfriend Elisabeth Asserson Ingebrigtsen in 2021 and tied the knot in September 2023, after the former soared to the 5000m victory at the 2023 World Championships. On June 25, 2024, the couple welcomed their first baby daughter, Filipa Asserson Ingebrigtsen, before the long-distance runner graced the Paris Olympics.
On November 11, 2024, the 24-year-old took to his Instagram story to post a picture with his daughter, who donned an adorable beige baby suit and pink hat, amid altitude training.
In a post from six weeks ago, the double Olympic gold medalist shared a photo carousel of off-season pictures of his wife and daughter.
In the first picture, the runner held his baby in his arms and kissed her cheeks, and the following picture featured the baby in sunglasses with a binkie. The other pictures included the couple's vacation exploits and their pet dog.
"Off season is fun season," his caption read.
He posted pictures of his 24th birthday celebration with his family on Instagram.
"24! Celebrating with my closest, and driving fast. Thank you for all messages I got for my birthday."
The couple posed in sun-soaked pictures with their daughter and Ingebrigtsen also shared a video of him driving the car.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen completed week one of altitude training ahead of the 2025 track season
Jakob Ingebrigtsen took to Instagram to post photos and videos, confirming that he finished a week of altitude training in Sierra Nevada with his training team.
"After a couple of weeks with good training in Sandnes, we traveled to Sierra Nevada for some altitude training. 1 week done, 3 to go," the caption read.
Ingebrigtsen holds the world record for the 1500m short track, 2000m, and 3000m and the world's best time over the two miles. At the 2023 World Championships, the 24-year-old missed the 1500m gold podium for the second consecutive time, losing to his biggest rival, Josh Kerr of Britain.
Having missed the 2024 indoor season due to an injury, he shared the track with Kerr at the Prefontaine Classic's Bowerman Mile. In the event dubbed the "Mile Race of the Century", the latter won with a new British record, shifting the four-time Diamond League champion to second.
