Jamaican Olympic Trials Results: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson secure Olympic berths in 100m final | Day 2

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson displayed another impressive performance on Day 2 of the Jamaican Olympic Trials. The Olympic qualifying event is held at the Jamaican National Stadium in Kingston.

On Day 1 of the Trials, the Jamaican sprinting queens clinched the 200m event Olympic spots. While Fraser-Pryce clocked 10.98 seconds to dominate the event, Jackson registered 10.99 seconds to settle in second place.

On Day 2 Jackson, Tia Clayton, and Fraser-Prycesecured the top three places to earn the Olympic quota by clocking -10.84, 10.90, and 10.94 seconds, respectively.

Kishane Thompson earns 100m Olympic quota by recording a world lead on Day 2 of the 2024 Jamaican Olympic Trials

After dominating the 100m heats on Day 1, Kishane Thompson recorded a world lead to earn his Olympic quota on Day 2 after clocking a commendable time of 9.77 seconds. He defeated Oblique Seville (9.82) and Ackeem Blake (9.92) to achieve this victory.
