Simone Biles revealed that her husband Jonathan Owens behaves nicely with his teammates and others before his NFL games, whereas she is 'mean' before her competitions. Biles and her family recently attended the premiere night of Simone Biles Rising: Part 2, which will be released on the OTT platform on October 25, 2024.
Biles, who made waves by extending her Olympic medal tally to 11 and surpassing Shannon Miller, was cheered on by her husband at the Paris Games. Having missed the Hall of Fame game with his new NFL team Chicago Bears, he took down all his wife's event scores when the latter won three golds and a silver. The couple then shared quality time amid the Gold Over America tour, the first time when Owens surprised the Olympian before her performance in Milwaukee.
On October 24, 2025, Biles attended the premiere night of her eponymous docuseries with her parents Nellie and Ron Biles, and younger sister, Adria. In a blue-carpet conversation with Access Hollywood, Biles talked about the content of the docuseries and how Owens' pre-game mood is a lot nicer than her 'mean' pre-meet mood.
"On his game days, he's sweet, he gets into his groove, his looks a little bit different, but he's nicer than me," she said (at 2:00)
In an Instagram post shared on October 25, Biles posted pictures of them delighting in lunch and dinner dates, cozying up in the car, and posing for selfies. One of the slides in the picture carousel also featured the NFL player trying out a basic maneuver in the parallel bars at GOAT.
"bye week — bae comes on tour," the seven-time Olympic gold medalist captioned.
The Gold Over America tour will stop in Ohio on October 27, with a couple of more shows lined up before it concludes in Michigan on November 3, 2024.
Simone Biles on Jonathan Owens - "Struck gold with this one"
Following the tour performance in Milwaukee, Biles accompanied her husband to Chicago, where the Chicago Bears team was slated to go against the Los Angeles Rams on September 29. The Olympian also attended the game donning a customized Bears attire with a Balenciaga duty-free tote bag. Celebrating her husband's success, Biles wrote a heartwarming message:
"Struck gold with this one."
The picture series also featured the couple kissing on the NFL field as well as glimpses of Biles' Gold Over America tour (seemingly in the dressing room).
Simone Biles Rising: Part 2 will also walk fans through the adorable bond of the Olympian and her husband at the 2024 Olympics.
