Jordan Chiles teased an appearance on Dancing With The Stars in the future after fellow Olympians Stephen Nedoroscik and Ilona Maher impressed on the recently concluded 33rd season of the dancing competition. All three of the athletes were part of the USA's 2024 Paris Olympics team.
Alongside her gymnastics brilliance, Chiles is known for her jolly nature during the meets and is frequently spotted showcasing her dance moves on TikTok. The 23-year-old is ready to compete on DWTS as well if the opportunity arises.
Speaking with USA Today in an interview, the two-time Olympian said:
"A lot of people say I have really good dance moves. I mean I like dancing, I like being involved in like that area. If I told myself I wasn't an athlete, I would definitely be in the dance music area of things but honestly, if they came knocking at my door, I think it'd be really cool." [3:00 0nwards]
Chiles further added:
"I have been watching Dancing With The Stars for a long time since I could remember... I watched Steve and if they came knocking at my door, I definitely would say yes."
Nedoroscik was paired with professional ballroom dancer Rylee Arnold following a breakthrough campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite the Olympian's insecurity about his dancing skills, the pair managed to reach the finale and finished fourth.
Meanwhile, Ilona Maher was paired with former DWTS champion Alan Bersten. The duo impressed judges and fans alike during the show, earning a staggering three perfect scores to finish runner-up during the finale on November 26.
Jordan Chiles excited to return to UCLA for 2025 NCAA Gymnastics
Jordan Chiles made her college gymnastics debut with UCLA following her Olympic debut at the Tokyo Olympics, where she won a silver medal. After two successful seasons with the Bruins, she put the degree on hold to focus on the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she won a gold medal.
The 23-year-old announced she would return to finish her remaining two years at UCLA and despite two consecutive years doing elite, moving back to college gymnastics wasn't a hard decision for her.
"It wasn't a hard decision at all. Even before my first Olympic Games, I always wanted to go to UCLA and do college gymnastics cause it does give you a different effect. They give you something not a lot of people may see from you especially knowing that you have different personalities, and atmospheres that you can put yourself into. So it wasn't a hard decision at all," she said during the aforementioned interview. [0:29 onwards]
