"Hard just to comprehend everything" - Jordan Chiles reflects on her feelings after the bronze medal debacle at the Paris Games
Jordan Chiles recently weighed in on handing over the bronze medal from the floor routine at the Paris Games.
The gymnast was ripped off her medal after Romania's Gymnastics files a complaint, stating her coach Cecile Landi appeal came four seconds later than the stipulated time.
Chiles was pushed to fifth place. Months after the bronze medal fiasco, she opened up on her feeling, stating:
“Honestly, it’s been really, really hard just to comprehend everything that’s been happening. I think now, it’s just the support that’s been around me that I’ve been like, ‘OK, I can’t control anything that’s happening on the outside, I can only control what my truth is, and I know what the truth is, and I know that we were right in everything that we were doing.'"
In addition to her Paris Olympics medals, Jordan Chiles secured a silver medal in team event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
