Olympic champion gymnast Jordan Chiles performed a jig ahead of pop star Beyonce's NFL halftime concert. The 23-year-old gymnast is eagerly waiting to be a part of the performance scheduled during the game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens.
A fan page on X [formerly Twitter] shared a video of Chiles performing a jig in a live stream on one of Beyonce's songs. Chiles reshared the video on her account and tweeted:
"An a oop caught!! Of course I'm ready!"
Chiles has long been a fan of Beyonce, who is equally a fan of Chiles' gymnastics prowess. Before the 2024 Paris Olympics, the pop star sent a note to her, in which she said (via Olympics.com):
"Congrats to you Queen. Always watching you with pride and admiration. Thank you for reppin' us. Good luck to you. All of your hard work and sacrifice shines bright. Praying for you and wishing you the best. Love, your twin, Beyonce."
Last week, the 23-year-old performed for her alma mater, the University of California, Los Angeles, as she announced her return to the NCAA collegiate season for 2025. She is also awaiting the release of her autobiography, "I'm That Girl."
Jordan Chiles makes her feelings known about wanting to write her memoir
Jordan Chiles is set to launch her autobiography in early 2025. In an exclusive interview with USA Today earlier this month, she expressed her feelings and discussed why she was eager to write her memoir:
"This memoir was something that I've always wanted to do ever since I was little I told my parents one day I wanna write a book about my story and I only wanted to do that because life from the very beginning of being a little kid was already crazy. It's about the love and resilience, not only within myself but also to everybody on the outskirts."
Chiles had a whirlwind experience at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She contributed to Team USA's gold medal-winning performance in the women's team all-around event at the quadrennial event held in the French capital. She also initially won a bronze medal in the floor exercise event but it was revoked and awarded to Ana Barbosu of Romania after a protest and appeal from the Romanian gymnasts. The Court of Arbitration of Sport ultimately decreed that Chiles' inquiry into the award was submitted late.
