American gymnast Jordan Chiles has received a major motivational boost after getting a chance to meet up with her mentor Aly Raisman before leaving for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Chiles hung out with the three-time Olympic champion and they got candid with each other as she showcased her musical skills.

In the video shared by Olympics.com, Jordan Chiles shared her love for getting the crowd involved with her dance and smiles. She mentioned that it gives her a lot of peace, adding that she always thinks of Raisman to ensure she performs well.

Apart from winning medals, Chiles added that she will fight for the top and be proud of herself, knowing that she never gave up.

"I’ve just been on a high…just enjoying every moment, Honestly, it feels good. I’m just proud of myself," Jordan Chiles added.

Raisman said in part:

"I feel like when I watch you, I love watching how much you bring to the sport. When I watch you, I love how you enjoy the sport and having fun. I’m so excited to watch and I’m so proud of you."

A series of photos was later shared by an X user, who wrote:

"Twelve hours after making her second @USAGym Olympic team, @ChilesJordan chatted with @Aly_Raisman. Come for Jordan's singing, stay to hear what's pushed her through a tough last 12 months."

Jordan Chiles’ fans were excited to see the duo hang out together but her mother Gina Chiles’ comment is what stood out among the dozens of lovely messages from fans.

Gina expressed how excited she was to see her daughter Jordan Chiles enjoying a great time with her mentor. She noted that Jordan Chiles shared a special relationship with Raisman before the latter retired.

She disclosed that Raisman would always call Chiles to her room before a competition because the former always felt at peace around Jordan. Her mother also revealed that people would always feel safe around Chiles since she was young.

Replying to a post shared by an X user, Jordan Chiles’ mother said:

"I absolutely love this. Aly has been a mentor to Jordan for years. Aly would call Jordan to come to her room right before Aly was about to compete because she said Jordan calmed her nerves. Jordan's presence has been the calm in many lives since she was younger. Love that. ❤️."

Jordan Chiles opened up about her battle with ADHD and how she had to always prove herself back in school since teachers had no faith in her.

The 23-year-old was unaware of what she would have done if she had not found gymnastics. She added how her parents also played a huge role in her career success, noting that they always encouraged her to pursue what made her feel safe.

She explained that her parents would always tell her alongside her four other siblings that they were superheroes, something that stuck in her head and was a daily motivation.

"I had really bad ADHD when I was younger. It was getting to the point where my teachers were concerned whether I was going to be able to pass school. So I always say, ‘Gymnastics saved me.’" Jordan Chiles told Elle.

She added:

"I don’t know what I would’ve done if I wasn’t in this sport. Maybe I’m a superhero, too. It always made me feel really cool, like, ‘Yeah I can do a flip. How about you?’"

From battling ADHD, Jordan Chiles will be heading to her second Olympic Games in Paris, France after her dominant display at the U.S. Olympic gymnastics trials. At the Olympic trials, she finished third in the all-around, on uneven bars and floor exercise, and second in the vault.

Her performance saw her being selected to the team alongside Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera.
