Jordan Chiles flaunted her new wig with wand curls ahead of Christmas. Besides making waves on the gymnastics mat, Chiles has been turning heads with her fashion A-game, especially after the Paris Olympics stint.
Chiles faced a setback at the 2024 Paris Olympics, having to forfeit her floor bronze medal after an ordeal involving the Romanian Gymnastics Federation and CAS. After the Olympics, she took the gymnastics mat for the Gold Over America tour and made appearances in fashion and award shows, among others.
On December 23, 2024, the 23-year-old Olympian had her hair done by Bammy, a Los Angeles hairstylist and creator of the ManWeave. She had a new 40-inch raw wig installed with wand curls, as evident in a clip posted by the latter on Instagram.
Chiles shared the post in her Instagram story to show off her look.
Jordan Chiles shared the reason behind her vibrant looks during competitions
Turning heads with her signature nails, bright leotards, dramatic eyes, and makeup, Chiles shared that fashion is a medium she uses to embrace herself and feel confident.
"It all just makes me feel more confident. It makes me feel like I am who I am. It makes me feel like I can just enjoy my personality and be something that God created me to be, and it was not to be shy, it wasn’t to be embarrassed of who I was, but to actually embrace who I am. And fashion is how I can showcase that." (via Harper's Bazaar)
She added:
"I like to put it all together, all into one look, like I am walking down a red carpet.”
Jordan Chiles also revealed that she took inspiration from 100m and 200m world record holder Florence Griffith-Joyner, who was popular for her feisty looks on the track.
Chiles attended New York Fashion Week after Paris, walking the ramp in Kim Shui fits paired with a corn braid hairstyle. Her momentum continued at the MTV VMA Awards, where she presented the best collaboration award to Taylor Swift and Post Malone for 'Fortnight.'.
The two-time Olympic medalist also attended the launch event of Vaseline's Pro VitaB3 Serum-Burst Lotion in a tennis-inspired fit. Chiles recently returned to UCLA to resume her NCAA career while balancing elite gymnastics. She also announced the launch of her memoir, 'I'm That Girl,' in March 2025.
