Kenny Bednarek looking to go big at the next quadrennial event in Los Angeles
Following a successful campaign at the Paris Olympics, Kenny Bednarek is aiming for another strong performance at the next quadrennial event in Los Angeles.
A few days after Bednarek clinched a silver medal in the 200m event in Paris, he shared a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle stating that he is targetting three gold medals at the Los Angeles event. He said:
"LA 2028 is in my sights and I’m aiming for one thing: 3 gold medals."
Bednarek competed in three events in this year's Olympic Games: 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relays. In the 100m, Bednarek finished seventh and in the relay event, his team was disqualified due to issues with their baton passage.
The 25-year-old had an impressive 2024 track season that saw him win Olympic medals as well as Diamond League titles. Besides, he also displayed some good performances in his unspecialised event, 400m at the Pepsi Florida Relays and UCF Knights Invite.
