2024 Paris Olympics silver medalist Kenny Bednarek recently shared a few clicks with the 2024 Diamond League trophy. This comes nearly three weeks after his victory in the Men's 200m event of the 2024 Diamond League finals in Brussels.
This was Bednarek's second Diamond League finals victory of his career after the 2021 heroics in Zurich where he won the 200m event defeating the then 200m Olympic champion Andre De Grasse.
In Brussels, Bednarek clocked a run time of 19.67 seconds to beat the current 200m Olympic champion, Letsile Tebogo after three successive defeats in the previous meets (Paris Olympics, Zurich, and Silesia Diamond League meets).
Three weeks after this Brussels conquest, the Oklahoma native took to his official Instagram handle to share a few pictures with the 2024 Diamond League trophy. He wrote in the caption:
"2x Diamond League Champion"
Bednarek had an impressive run in the Diamond League meets across the 2024 track and field season where he managed to register podium finishes in all the five Diamond League meets he competed in and emerged victorious in three legs namely Doha, Eugene, and Brussels.
Besides the Diamond League events, Bednarek also earned impressive victories at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, Kip Keino Classic, and Miramar Invitational. The 25-year-old also clinched a gold medal as a part of the 4x100m quartet (Noah Lyles, Courtney Lindsey, Bednarek, and Kyree King) at the 2024 World Athletics Relays in Nassau.

Kenny Bednarek recently opened up about the perks he likes most about his track and field athlete profession.
Bednarek said that the best part of his career is that he can do the activity that he likes the most, running on the track. Besides, the 25-year-old also revealed that he gets to explore various parts of the world while traveling for track meets. He said (via 365 Amplified podcast at 35:25):
"One thing I like about this whole situation is I get to travel the world and do the one thing that I love most, which is running. When I do have time, which is most of the time, I always try to make a point in actually traveling around the actual country and the city that I’m in.”
During the podcast, Bednarek also suggested young aspiring track and field athletes enjoy and have fun besides putting in the hard work.
