Olympian Kenny Bednarek recently appeared during the NFL game between the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers on Sunday, October 13. The Tulsa-born was honored for his silver medal wins at the Paris Olympics.

Bedanrek defended his 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medal in the 200m dash at the 2024 Summer Games. He clocked a time of 19.62s to attain a second-place finish and was bested by Letsile Tebogo, who recorded 19.46s, securing the first place. While Noah Lyles secured a third-place finish after posting a time of 19.70s.

Weeks after this athletic achievement, Bednarek was seen at Lambeau Field, attending the game between the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers, where the latter dominated with the score of 34-13. In this match, the American sprinter was seen wearing a Green Bay Packers jacket and had the Olympic silver medal wrapped around his neck.

One of the fans shared a picture on their Instagram story, of him being interviewed on the big screen and wrote:

Days before this appearance, Bednarek was honored with a day named in his honor in his hometown.

Kenny Bednarek recently returned to his hometown in Wisconsin, weeks after his Olympic dominance at the Paris Olympics, and received a huge honor from the authorities of the town. The mayor of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, declared October 12 as "Kenny Bednarek Day" to respect the athlete's contribution to the Summer Games.

Following this, Bednarek took to his Instagram and shared a picture, elaborating on the parade and meet and greet events that took place on October 12. He penned a heartfelt note in the caption, showcasing gratitude to the community for their support. The post's caption read:

"Honored beyond words to have the mayor proclaim October 12th as Kenny Bednarek Day! This recognition means the world to me. Grateful for the support of my community and excited to continue striving for greatness," wrote Bednarek.

He added:

"Join me this October 12th, Saturday in Rice Lake as I celebrate with all of you with a parade, meet and greet, speech, free autographs, giveaways, a chance for the kids to run with me and much more!"

Following his Paris Olympics campaign, Kenny Bednarek polished his 2024 season more by winning a gold medal in the Diamond League Finals in Brussels. He bested the Olympic champion, Letsile Tebogo, by clocking 19.67s to stand atop the podium, and the Botswana athlete recorded 19.80s to claim second place.
