Simone Biles unveiled a new skill in the balance beam for the upcoming Gold Over America tour. The 11-time Olympic medalist will take the stage after her successful Paris Olympic exploits. Biles inaugurated the Gold Over America tour after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, aiming to inspire a new generation of female athletes.

In its debut edition, the tour sold 182,000 tickets across 32 cities and the 'gymnastics-meet-pop concert spectacular' grossed a whopping $19.3 million. Cut to 2024, the 30-time World medalist headliner announced the second edition of the tour, slated to begin on September 16 in Oceanside, California, and conclude on November 3 in Detroit, Michigan.

Less than a week until the event, Simone Biles put her Instagram fans on notice with a new skill on the balance beam. She held the beam upside-down, facing inward, and turned 180 degrees to face outward, repeating the skill twice.

"learned another new thing," her Instagram story caption read.

She further lauded Skye Blakel for performing the complicated balance beam maneuver every day.

The Gold Over America will tour across 32 cities, a format similar to the debut edition in 2021. Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Hezyl Rivera, and Joscelyn Roberson are the US women's gymnastics team members who will join Biles on the tour. Unlike the first edition, this time around the men's gymnastics team members, namely Brody, Malone, Paul Juda, Asher Hong, and Fred Richard, will also be a part of the tour.

Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos of France, Casimir Schmidt of the Netherlands, and Ellie Black and Peng-Peng Lee of Canada are some of the international gymnasts set to take the stage.

Biles previously medaled in the all-around, vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor, but her recent video featured her in a new setting. She performed a modified version of scissor forward on the pommel horse during training and left the male gymnasts in awe.

"how rehearsals are going," her story was captioned. (as per NBC Olympics & Paralympics X post)

Simone Biles performed the Yurchenko Double Pike on vault and got it named after her as Biles II at the 2023 World Championships. The skill that earned her two golds at the Olympics this year will not be performed anymore.

As her husband, Jonathan Owens, has already kicked off the current NFL season, she confirmed her absence in most of the game because of her busy schedule.
