Lexi Rodriguez recently reacted to Nebraska Cornhuskers player Kendall Moriarty scoring career-high points. This came during the Huskers' 91-60 victory against Wisconsin, where Moriarty scored 17 points.
She was the highest scorer for her team during the match-up, with teammates Jessica Petrie and Britt Prince chipping in with 15 and 14 points respectively. In the 2024-25 season, Moriarty has scored 75 points in total, at an average of 3.9. Her side will next face Ohio State on Monday (Jan 27). Nebraska's basketball side is currently in the fifth position of the Big Ten Championships table, with eight wins and two defeats to their name.
Rodriguez, a former Nebraska Volleyball player took to her Instagram handle to share a story in appreciation of her collegiate side's star player. In the story, she wrote:
"always been a #15 fan cmon now @kendall.moriarty"
Following her time at Nebraska, Rodriguez joined the League One Volleyball team, LOVB Omaha, for the pro season. Her side has started the season with victories against Houston and Madison in the first and second weeks respectively.
Their next match is against Omaha Madison on Saturday (Jan 25) at the Liberty First Credit Union Area, Omaha.

Lexi Rodriguez shared her feelings as she joined her first professional team after spending four years with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Rodriguez stated that she was heartbroken after she played the last match for the Huskers and also mentioned not being able to win the National Championships for the program. She added that she is excited to start her pro career with LOVB Omaha. She said (via Footboom):
"It was incredibly heartbreaking knowing that was my last time on the court for Nebraska. I'd hoped we could clinch the championship, but being a Husker has been an extraordinary journey for me. This marks a fresh start for me. I cannot wait to dive into this new chapter."
During the interview, Lexi Rodriguez also said that the opportunity to play with her former Husker mates Lauren Stivrins and Madi Kubik-Banks in the LOVB Omaha team will help her get acclimatized in her new side. Stivrins was a middle-blocker for the Huskers, while Kubik-Banks was an outside hitter.
