The couple met as teenagers on the US junior tracks team and in 2018, they officially tied the knot. That same year, Felix and Kenneth Ferguson welcomed their first child, a daughter named Camryn Grace. In April of 2024, their son Trey was born.

Allyson Felix is a five-time Olympian and 11-time Olympic medalist, including seven golds, three silvers, and one bronze. From 2005 to 2022, she earned 17 medals at the World Championships, with 13 golds, two silvers, and two bronzes.

In 2018, the Olympic champion faced complications during pregnancy. Reflecting on the experience, she expressed gratitude for her husband's unwavering support.

In 2018, Allyson Felix faced major health challenges when she was pregnant with Camryn. At 32 weeks, Felix was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia, a condition characterized by high blood pressure that can lead to serious complications for both mother and child.

Reflecting on the experience, the celebrated athlete shared a heartfelt post on Facebook in August 2021. Recalling a deeply emotional and challenging moment in her battle with preeclampsia, Felix noted how her husband, Kenneth Ferguson, captured a photograph of her as her health rapidly deteriorated.

In her post, she also expressed gratitude toward her husband for his unwavering support and acknowledged his sacrifices to help her achieve her dreams.

"My husband took this photo of me when things were quickly spiraling downhill with my pre-eclampsia. I saw it months after. It became one of my favorites because it’s real and raw. I also cherish it because I can feel his love for me even when I was unaware. Taking a moment to express my deep appreciation for @supermanferg on this journey. His sacrifices for me to realize this dream have been massive. He has always stood back and allowed me to shine. I’m so blessed to have him as a partner," she wrote.

As per a report from TIME, Pre-eclampsia is notably more prevalent among African-American women, contributing to higher risks during childbirth. Allyson Felix's experience with the condition brought attention to the broader issue of racial disparities in maternal healthcare.

Motivated by her ordeal, she testified before the US House Ways and Means Committee in 2021, advocating for increased support and awareness for women of color during pregnancy.
