Noah Lyles was pumped up as 100 Thieves qualified for the LoL World Championships after beating Cloud9 3-1 in the lower-bracket semi-final of League Championship Series Summer Split playoffs. Lyles is a hardcore video gaming enthusiast and has named 100 Thieves as his favorite team.

Lyles is among the fastest sprinters in the world and currently holds the title of the world's fastest man after winning the gold medal in the 100m dash at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 27-year-old edged out pre-race favorite Kishane Thompson by five-thousandths of a second to seal his place among the sprinting greats.

However, the reigning world champion over both the 100m and the 200m failed to defend his title in the latter. He finished third behind Letsile Tebogo and Kenny Bednarek, later revealing that had been afflicted with COVID. He ended his Olympic campaign a day later, deciding to not run in the 4x100m relay finals.

After recovering from COVID, Noah Lyles has been enjoying his time off and recently went on a vacation with his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield as well. Now as his favorite League of Legends team 100 Thieves qualified for the LoL World Championships, the Olympic champion couldn't contain his happiness, writing:

"Like a thief in the night!!!!! Taking everything!"

Lyles has a personal gaming setup for playing League of Legends. He also received a custom board from the 100 Thieves earlier this year. Alongside gaming, the 27-year-old is also a hardcore anime fan.

Noah Lyles’ love for anime is well known to his fans, but when the Olympic champion pulled out a Yu-Gi-Oh card during the Olympic trials, the video went viral over the internet. The 27-year-old later disclosed that it was a dare from American shot putter Chase Jackson.

"It was actually a dare. I was doing a podcast with Chase Ealey, two-time World Champion in Shot Put and we are both anime fans and she was like 'Yeah you got to pull out Exodia before you run' and I'm like what? I was like if I manage to pull out Exodia then you have to do the Rock Lee weight drop, and she did," he said.

Lyles added that he honors his bets and decided to pull out all five Exodia during the Olympic trials.

"So that means I had to. I always honor my bets and dares. I did it through all the 100m and I did it in one of the 200m, but I ended up buying a duel disk and walking with the duel disk," the Olympic champion added.

Lyles won both the 100m and the 200m title at the Olympic Trials, setting a meet record in the latter in 19.53s. However, he was slower in the finals at the Paris Olympics, facing his first defeat in the event since winning bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
