Lindsey Vonn recently gave her reaction to the cancellation of St. Moritz Women's Super-G, which was scheduled to be held on December 22, 2024. The American made her comeback to competitive skiing on November 14, 2024.
Vonn bid goodbye to the sport in 2019 after sustaining multiple severe injuries. The most recent one was a knee injury, for which she had to undergo surgery in April of this year. After completely recovering from her knee replacement, she competed for the first time at the FIS Fall Festival in Colorado.
Vonn was geared up to make her anticipated return to the World Cup competition, as she was scheduled to compete in St. Moritz Women's Super-G, which was her second race after her return. However, the event was canceled due to unstable weather conditions. The 40-year-old was disappointed with this unfortunate happening and made her feelings known on her Instagram story.
Vonn shared Eurosport's post on her story, which informed about the cancellation of the event and added crying emoticons to express her feelings about it.

Lindsey Vonn opened up about her first race in six years
Lindsey Vonn returned to the slopes after a hiatus of six years. Her race at the FIS Fall Festival, which was held at Copper Mountain, Colorado, on December 8, 2024, was technically her first one after the comeback. The skier opened up about competing in her first race after retirement and said that she was happy to take this step.
Vonn shared a picture of her standing on the slopes in the USA in skiing gear and added a heartwarming note in the caption, which read:
"Happy to be able to take another step this weekend 💃🏼! Technically tomorrow will be my first race but I’m using it as a training opportunity to keep on building. 📈 100% will come in time but not tomorrow," wrote Vonn.
Vonn added:
"It’s been 6 years since I last raced so I still have a lot of equipment to test, finding my groove and really getting into racing form. I am having a lot of fun and want to keep on doing so!
