American alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn recently reacted to Caitlin Clark's season-defining feat: the WBNA star was awarded the Times Magazine "Athlete of the Year" 2024 title this week.
Clark had a superb 2024, where she was drafted as a first pick to Indiana Fever. In her first season in the league, the 22-year-old hit the ground running, winning the WNBA Rookie of the Year award. She was also the assist leader this season with a tally of 337 assists to her name.
As a result of these performances, the Times has honored the former IOWA Hawkeyes player with the "Athlete of the Year" title, which has been previously won by the likes of Lionel Messi (2023), Aaron Judge (2022), and Simone Biles (2021).
Vonn took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle to reshare Times' post with the announcement. The 40-year-old ski racer didn't add any caption or comment in her tweet, but reacted with a few flexed bicep emojis.
Lindsey Vonn has also expressed her affection for Clark several times in the past and congratulated the basketball player when she won the Best Record-Breaking Performance at the ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) awards.
