“So much to be thankful for this year! I'm thankful for my family, friends and team for supporting me and believing in me. I'm thankful for my health, to not be in pain every day and to be able to ski fast again. (Thank you Dr. Roche and Dr Hackett!) I'm thankful for my dogs, especially my boy Leo who is crushing cancer right now. (Don't tell the other 2 but Leo my favorite!).”
Vonn went on to add that she was thankful for the opportunities she had in life, writing,
“But mostly, I'm thankful for the opportunity. Every day is a chance to live my life to the fullest. All of the early mornings and late nights, all of the hard work and all of the fun; I don't take anything for granted. I have promised myself and my Mom to never waste a second. I have NO regrets, and I am grateful for that!”
Lindsey Vonn announced her return to skiing in November this year, and will be hoping for a wildcard entry to an upcoming World Cup race. In the meantime, the 40-year-old has made her way back onto the US Ski Team and is training to get back to her winning ways.
