Lindsey Vonn recently shared a glimpse of her Christmas celebrations with her family. The American skier recently made her first World Cup appearance after six years of retirement.

Vonn retired from skiing in 2019, as she sustained multiple injuries and had to go through a knee surgery. However, after five years of staying dormant, the skier made her comeback in November 2024. After her return, she participated in the FIS Fall Festival, where she competed in two Super G races to earn the points necessary to compete in the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup.

Following this, she made her first World Cup appearance after retirement at St. Moritz in Switzerland. Now, days after this, she is currently celebrating the holiday season with her family. She shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram, where she showcased cute family pictures with her father and her sister. In the first one they were dressed up in skiing gear, and in the second one, they were seen preparing the Christmas tree.

Along with this, she also shared a picture of her pet dog dressed in Santa Claus' clothes. In the last slide, she shared the picture of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree surrounded by gifts. Lindsey Vonn added a sweet note in the caption of the post, which read:

"Merry Christmas and happy holidays from my family to yours! Hope your holiday season is filled with love and joy wherever you are. 🎄❤️ "

Lindsey Vonn opened up about her World Cup performance in St. Moritz

Lindsey Vonn attained a 14th-place finish in a super-G on the Corviglia course in St. Moritz, which was her first World Cup appearance after her retirement. Following this performance, she opened up about her performance in an interview with Eurosport.

Vonn said that she needs to work a lot on her skills, and she did not put her full potential in the competition as she did not want to take any sort of risk.

“I felt really good, there’s definitely a lot I have left to give. I really wanted to get to the finish today and be solid. I didn’t want to risk too much, today was not the day to do anything special. I think the course was a little bit bumpy when I went so in some sections I was a little bit more conservative with my line but in some sections, I was really fast. I'm just really close to being there but I'm not quite there yet," said Lindsey Vonn.

Lindsey Vonn is a three-time Olympic medalist and has delivered staunch performances in the World Cup races in her career. She has won a total of 82 gold medals, 35 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals in the entire course of her career.
