Lindsey Vonn recently celebrated Katie Ledecky's remarkable achievements, paying tribute to her dedication and drive for greatness. Following her triumph at the Paris Games, where she won four medals, Ledecky became the most decorated American female swimmer.

With 14 Olympic and 26 World Championship medals, Ledecky has proved her dominance in the swimming world, holding the 800m and 1500m freestyle events world records. During the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series in Indianapolis, Ledecky etched her name in the history book by registering a world record in the 1500m freestyle with a staggering 15:20.48.

Two years before the world record, she also documented 800m freestyle by clocking a whopping 8:04.79 during the 2016 Rio Games. At the same Olympics, she also posted the 400m freestyle world record with 3:56.46, which was later shattered by Ariarne Titmus.

During an interview with Laureus Sport, Vonn expressed her admiration for Ledecky's unparalleled dominance in swimming, comparing her to legendary swimmer Michael Phelps. She highlighted Ledecky's dedication, and excellence and urged people to recognize her efforts.

"I mean Katie is...it's hard even to put into words because when you look at her records it's just her name," Vonn said. "You know she... she has dominated the sport in a way that is very seldom seen. I think Michael Phelps would be the only other person that has such dominance but she again, showed us in Paris her level of athleticism she continues to come in every Games and every World Championships with the same speed and she gets better and better and breaks more and more records."
"To maintain that level of dominance for as many years as she has requires such a sacrifice, such a passion, and such a will to continuously grind every single day. It is a sight to behold and I hope that people appreciate how hard it is to achieve what Katie Ledecky has achieved," she added.
