Lindsey Vonn recently shared glimpses of her vacation during the holiday season in her recent update. The skier posed with a starfish and addressed her followers' concerns about the latter.
The American skier has recently returned back to the slopes after staying away from skiing for almost six years. She retired from skiing in 2019 after sustaining multiple injuries, and she recently underwent a knee surgery. However, the skier made her comeback in November 2024 and participated in the FIS Fall Festival, where she competed in two Super G races to gather points for competing in the World Cup.
Following this, Vonn recently made her first World Cup appearance after retirement at St. Moritz in Switzerland. The 40-year-old is currently on a vacation and recently shared the time she spent at the beach and showcased her encounter with a starfish and posed with it in the pictures.
After witnessing the post, one of her fans showcased concern about the fish by commenting:
"Starfish die when taken completely out. Omg😢 "
Addressing the follower's concern, Vonn replied:
"The starfish is completely fine folks."
Ahead of this vacation, Lindsey Vonn was seen celebrating Christmas with her family, as she shared a bunch of pictures on her Instagram.

Lindsey Vonn made her return to competitive skiing in November, 2024, at the age of 40. She has faced a series of knee injuries from 2013 to 2018, which forced her retirement in 2019. Now the skier is back to the sport and recently opened up about her comeback in an interview with the Today show. She stated that she never thought she would again be back on the slopes competing and revealed that the response to her return has been incredible.
"I honestly thought it's never going to happen. I am as surprised as everyone else. I'm really enjoying this journey. No one's ever done this, so I honestly don't know how far I can take it but so far it's been incredible, the response has been incredible," Vonn said.
She further revealed that her pain after the knee surgery has suddenly vanished.
"I always thought it was over. Of course, if I had the opportunity to keep skiing I would have but my injuries always held me back and I don't know when I got this surgery I felt so good. I had no more pain, things that were bothering me for so many years were suddenly gone and I thought if I feel this good, playing tennis and doing all the things I love, what about skiing?"
Lindsey Vonn has had a stellar career as she won a total of three Olympic medals in her career, and along with it, she has also delivered stellar performances in the World Cup races, as she has nabbed 82 gold medals, 35 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals in her career.
