Former Team USA gymnast Olivia Dunne received heartfelt reactions from her LSU teammates, including Zoe Miller and Lexi Zeiss, as she celebrated her super senior status at the facility's gymnastics team. Dunne and LSU are gearing up to defend their NCAA title in the upcoming 2025 season.
The social media sensation joined the LSU Tigers gymnastics program in 2020 after turning senior in 2018. In her debut season with the institution, the 22-year-old made her first appearance against Arkansas and scored an impressive 9.875. She was also part of the team that reached the semifinals in her 2021 freshman season and earned a silver medal at the SEC Championships that same year.
In her sophomore season in 2022, the gymnastics standout achieved her career high of 9.900 in the floor exercise and earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. She was also named to the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll in her junior season in 2023. Her senior season in 2024 proved to be her most successful yet, as she played a pivotal role in LSU's victory at the SEC Championships and helped the school win its first-ever NCAA title in April.
Now gearing up for her fifth season with LSU, which will earn her the super senior status, Dunne celebrated the milestone by sharing a post on Instagram dressed in LSU's outfit.
"In the blink of an eye #supersenior #old," she wrote in the caption.
Reacting to the post, her fellow Tiger Lexi Zeiss wrote:
"AWWW."
Another teammate, Zoe Miller, stated:
"GORGEOUS."
Alexis Jeffrey, another junior at LSU, commented:
"So beautiful my dunde."
USA Gymnastics also joined in with:
"We're in denial."
Olivia Dunne explains how she built a strong personal brand - "It didn’t happen in the blink of an eye"
In a Flaunt film, Olivia Dunne explained that she put in a lot of effort to reach the level of social media fame she is enjoying currently and emphasized that it was not something that happened overnight.
"The social media aspect of it—I worked really hard to get to where I am in building my personal brand, and it didn’t happen in the blink of an eye. It didn’t happen in just a year. It didn’t happen because of one viral moment," she said.
"It happened over years of getting to know my audience, learning the algorithms, and growing my brand to be what it is today. That’s why people are so fascinated with what I’m doing," she added.
Dunne also pointed out that she is not particularly fond of being labeled as "the social media influencer."
