Lindsey Vonn shared a heartfelt update on her pet dog Leo’s battle with cancer. Leo was diagnosed with cancer shortly after Vonn’s return from the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The retired American alpine skier attended the Paris Olympics and played a crucial role in securing the Salt Lake City bid for the 2034 Winter Olympics, serving as the Chief of Athlete Experience.

After returning home from the Paris Olympics, she took Leo to the vet after noticing lumps around his lymph nodes, where he was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. She shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post on August 18, revealing that he is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

Recently, Lindsey Vonn took to Instagram to give a heartfelt update on pet dog Leo’s battle with cancer. In her post, Vonn expressed admiration for Leo's strength in his battle with cancer, showed gratitude for their time together and how his presence has been a source of emotional and physical support, captioning the post:

“Leo is fighting this cancer like the strong boy he is. I feel so lucky to have these moments with him. He gives me more strength than he’ll ever know. ❤️”

Notably, in September, the 40-year-old shared another update on Instagram after Leo began chemotherapy. She revealed that his treatment plan spans 25 weeks and also mentioned that his vet had confirmed Leo is in remission.

Lindsey Vonn adopted her dog Leo in January 2014 when he was just nine months old, rescuing him from an animal shelter. He had previously undergone knee surgery after being hit by a car and abandoned in a park.

After adopting him, Vonn took Leo for a morning walk along the beach and shared her excitement about spending time together. She posted on Facebook with the caption:

“Morning walk on the beach with Leo. He seems very happy to be out of his cage! Can't wait to take him home to Vail and show him snow for the first time!”

Like Leo, Vonn also struggled with numerous injuries and underwent many surgeries. Notably, Leo was by her side during these challenging days of the rehabilitation process, giving support to the former Olympic champion.
