With the Paris Olympics just four days away, Noah Lyles received the coolest shout-out from singer and rapper Snoop Dogg. The latter gave a unique shout-out to the sprinter while flaunting Team USA's official gear for the 2024 Summer Games.
Noah Lyles and Snoop Dogg were recently seen pulling off a fashion walk-in together on Day 3 of the US Olympic trials. The American athlete carried a mysterious silver-colored briefcase with him during the trials to keep up the hype. The two arrived in style, and while Lyles wore Adidas gear and an Omega watch, the award-winning rapper donned an Olympic-themed tracksuit while also carrying the suitcase.
A few days after the trials, with the 27-year-old advancing to the Paris Olympics, Snoop Dogg gave him a shout-out. Team USA shared a video on Instagram, where the rapper was seen wearing their official Olympic gear with a t-shirt that had Noah's face on it. While getting himself clicked, he showcased his t-shirt with the sprinter's face on it and said:
"Make sure you get the GOAT."
Noah Lyles clocked his fastest 100m time ahead of the Paris Olympics
With less than a week until the Paris Olympics, Noah Lyles has once again proved himself as a firm favorite in the 100m for the 2024 Games. He produced a powerful run in the distance at the London Diamond League on July 20 by clocking a personal best of 9.81s. He trounced Akani Simbine and Lestile Tobago, who clocked 9.86s and 9.88s, respectively.
After the win, in a post-race interview with Citius Mag, Lyles opened up about his race and mentioned that his focus is on nabbing wins in competitions rather than gaining the 100m world lead title.
"It's about the win. You can have the best time in the world, but if you ain't got the win, then back it up. You start to get left behind,” said Noah Lyles.
The world champion added:
"I think my legacy is growing the sport more than just the track. Being able to bring it to the U.S., being able to bring it outside of the U.S. We run fast, we also have passion and love for other things and incorporating that into the sport so that we grow, not just in one place, but as internationally as we are at."
After his significant performance in London, Noah Lyles is geared up for the Paris Olympics and is poised to compete against the likes of Jamaican athletes Kishane Thompson, and Oblique Seville, among others.
