Masai Russell recently reunited with her boyfriend, Robbie Springfield, after Christmas, as she shared an adorable selfie with him. The American athlete concluded her 2024 season after competing at the Athlos NYC meet.
Russell won just one event she competed in during the 2024 season but it was the big one at the Paris Olympics. The 24-year-old clinched gold in the 100m hurdles after clocking 12.33 seconds in the final.
Following this, Russell competed in the inaugural edition of the Athlos NYC meet, where she earned a third-place finish in the 110m hurdles.
The athlete is currently, the athlete is enjoying the holiday season and was recently spending Christmas with her family. After the celebrations, the 24-year-old reunited with her boyfriend and shared a selfie of the couple on her Instagram story.

Following her Olympic exploits champion, Russell opened up about her boyfriend, Robbie Springfield's support, and extended her gratitude to him for never giving up on her. She took to her Instagram story, where she shared a picture of them together and penned a heartfelt note for her boyfriend.
“Y’all know I love my man. He means the world to me. He never allowed me to give up on my dreams when I felt like all the odds were against me. When I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you papa for being the best example in your own life to lead and guide me. Forever us," wrote Russell.
Masai Russell and Robbie Springfield have been together since their college years, as both of them were a part of the University of Kentucky.
Apart from her Olympics triumph, Russell did not win any event in 2024, be it indoors or outdoors. In indoors, the 24-year-old came fourth in the 60m hurdles event. She also finished third in the discipline at the USA Indoor Championships while finishing fourth in the New Balance Grand Prix.
