Riley Gaines recently opened up on the 'transphobia' around the rape survivors in the USA. She conversed with Republican senator Nancy Mace, who recently came under fire for proposing to restrict the entry of trans congresswomen into the Capitol Hill's female restrooms.

Gaines uploaded an excerpt of the conversation on her X timeline [formerly Twitter]. She wrote in the caption:

"1) Women's rights matter 2) Men are not women 3) Men can never become women, Make sense?"

When Gaines asked Mace as to how she felt over the transphobic comments, the Senator replied,

"If we start involving kids in it, it will promote mental illness and suicial ideation. If you push this gender ideology onto our children, there are. There are children that go through gender dysphoria and grow out of it. By the time they're adult, they don't need to have their p****es cut off or the breast cut off, any of that stuff."

Senator Mace further added,

"And also, the other thing is, that as a rape survivor, I shouldn't have to be the one out there. I should never have to explain that I'm a rape survivor and why I don't want men in the restroom, or why I don't want to be forced to undress in front of a man."

Riley Gaines has been campaigning on multiple social issues since 2022. She had previously campaigned against the participation of Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics, as well as the bias towards the participation of trans athletes by the NCAA.

Riley Gaines has been crystal clear on the exclusion of the trans athletes from the women's sports. In April 2024, she sued NCAA for their alleged bias towards the trans athletes in women's sports.

In October 2024, Riley Gaines called out the NCAA over the participation of volleyball player Blaire Fleming, who is reportedly a transgender. Gaines campaigned against the San Jose State University player, and also supported every educational institution, who forfeited their matches at the Mountain West Conference League over the participation of Fleming.

More recently, Gaines shared a video, where a student was expressing her concerns over the inclusion of trans athletes at the MLK High School. Gaines commented on her X handle,

"'We should be able to trust that our staff & admin won't punish us for thinking differently than them.Isn't that their most basic duty to fulfill? Isn't that YOUR duty to fulfill? To ensure our privacy, safety, and opportunities in & out of the classroom?' Are you listening, @RiversideUSD? "

When Imane Khelif was nominated by the Associated Press for 'Female Athlete of the Year', Gaines wrote on her X handle,

"The absurd part is @AP knows he is a man (just as anyone with eyes does), but they just don't care. His medical records showing his chromosomes & anatomy are public. 4 dunces just genuinely believe a man makes the best woman. Why have a woman's award if a man can win it?"

Riley Gaines also campaigned against the forceful implementation of the Title IX changes by the outgoing US administration led by Joe Biden. According to the changes, additional protection would be given to the athletes representing the LGBTQIA+ community.

However, according to Gaines and other critics, these changes were just an excuse in order to stifle any kind of criticism against the participation of trans athletes in women's sports.
