Michael Johnson appreciated the warm gesture of Noah Ohio, who fulfilled a child's wish of meeting English footballer Jude Bellingham. The Dutch football forward, who was already friends with Bellingham, met a cancer-affected football fan in a hospital and video-called the English player to unite them virtually.

Johnson, the former World and Olympic record holder in the 200m and 400m, was one of the most prominent track athletes of his time with three Olympic and nine World gold medals. He became the only man to defend his 400m title, an achievement he recorded at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He retired in 2001 and worked with the BBC as a sports commentator and garnered fame as a popular sports pundit since then.

In his recent X post, Johnson lauded Ohio, who visited a sick children's hospital and fulfilled the wish of an adorable football fan. The original video featured Ohio walking up to the fan and asking who his favorite player was. On hearing 'Bellingham', the 21-year-old immediately jumped to action.

"I'll call him. Maybe he picks up his phone," he said.

The conversation ended with Bellingham blowing a kiss to the child and a photo session. The Dutch footballer's heartwarming gesture grabbed the attention of Johnson, who appreciated the footballer in his post, reading:

"This is so good!"

In 2024, Johnson announced the 'Grand Slam Track', a league to revolutionize track and field. It will feature the top names of track and field competing across four 'Slams' in the United States. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the 400m hurdles world record holder, was the first athlete to be named a 'GST Racer'.

Josh Kerr, Cole Hocker, Yared Nuguse, Fred Kerley, Kenny Bednarek and Melissa Jefferson, among others, have joined the likes of the hurdler as of yet. The league will be underway from April 2025.

Following the 2024 Paris Olympics, Tyreek Hill called out Noah Lyles' controversial 'World Champions' comment from 2023 after the Olympian's 200m defeat in Paris and claimed to beat him on the sprinting field. Though his bold statement garnered backlash from several sporting names, Michael Johnson wished to welcome him to the first edition of the Grand Slam Track league, referring to him as 'Cheetah'.

"Tyreek Hill. I would actually love to have Tyreek Hill run in Grand Slam Track event. Cheetah!, Yeah," he said.

Michael Johnson was the US National record holder for the 200m, 300m and 400m and etched his name as the only athlete to win the 200m and 400m at an individual Games (1996 Olympics).
