Simone Biles' Netflix documentary helps Jordan Chiles' attorney to continue the quest for her bronze medal
In the recent developments of Jordan Chiles' bronze medal debacle, footage from Simone Biles' Netflix series showed the prospect of altering the original decision.
Chiles was denied the bronze medal after Romania's Ana Barbosu appealed to the CAS, highlighting that the inquiry from Chiles' end was issued after the stipulated time. Initially, Chiles was promoted to third place from fifth after her coach Cecile Landi issued an inquiry.
However, a month after the Paris Olympics, the fight for Chiles' bronze medal continues with her attorney Maurice M. submitting a new application to the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland. The application states that the video captured by the Netflix crew can provide audio and video recordings of the coach issuing the inquiry in time, which can ultimately lead to CAS' previous decision.
