Mikaela Shiffrin has offered her support to Ilona Maher after the Paris Olympics medalist openly shared her disappointment regarding her performance on "Dancing with the Stars." Maher appeared on "Dancing with the Stars" following her recent Games' bronze medal victory in the women's rugby sevens event.

Following this Monday's Soul Train Night performance, Maher presented a jive routine along with her pro partner Alan Bersten to "Cum On Feel The Noize" by Quiet Riot. However, the performance struggled to find the rhythm, falling short of the pair's expectations.

They received a subpar score of six, six, and seven points from three judges, making the total 19, and placing them in elimination alongside two other pairs. The Olympian and pro dancer's pair narrowly survived elimination after the fourth episode witnessed the double elimination of Reginald VelJohnson and Eric Roberts, after scoring 21 and 22 points, respectively.

Although Maher acknowledged being unfamiliar with the Metal Hair Week, she conveyed, that she could have performed better. Later after emotionally expressing dissatisfaction and receiving an outpouring of support from fans, she admitted that dancing is tough for her but affirmed her commitment to keep trying.

"Love you all. I’m okay. Dancing is tough but I’ll keep working," wrote Maher.

Shiffrin showed her support by commenting with two hearts.

Following her Metal Hair Week subpar performance on "Dancing with the Stars," Ilona Maher expressed her frustration in executing well during dress rehearsals rather than the actual performance.

"You do it so well in dress rehearsal and then you come out and you mess it up so it's really hard 'because he's (her pro partner Alan) so good and he knows I can do well and I just don't," she said (via Entertainment Tonight).

Further, she accepted judges' scores and comments gracefully, saying they were kinder than her self-assessment.

"Honestly I wasn't sad about the judges' scores. I thought they were very nice actually and even the judges' comments...I thought they were very true and because I saw it and these guys know, I thought they were even nicer maybe than I'm being to myself at least, they're being nicer. I'm my own worst enemy," she added.

The upcoming episode of Dancing with the Stars will feature a Dedication Night.
