Mikaela Shiffrin anticipated Simone Biles' much-awaited US Gymnastics Trials entry, slated for June 27-30, 2027. The four-time Olympic gold medalist will enter the competition as the top seed after claiming her ninth National title at the 2024 Xfinity US Gymnastics Championships.

Shiffrin recently extended her World Cup win tally to 97 and embarked on an educational journey at the Harvard Business School with a Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports course. After completion, she turned to hype Simone Biles up before her big Trials days.

Biles took to X and posed at Target Center, Minneapolis, where the Trials will start just hours later. The two-time Olympic gold medalist expressed excitement to watch her perform at the adrenaline-filled Olympic qualifiers.

Thrilled for the much-anticipated feat, Mikaela Shiffrin wished Biles luck, writing:

"Let’s gooooo @Simone_Biles !!

Shiffrin and Biles have been closely connected since the former walked home from the 2022 Beijing Olympics without a medal. She later shared that she couldn't figure out what led her to lose all the podiums. The turn of events was beyond her comprehension.

That situation struck a chord with Simone Biles since she faced the same at the Tokyo Olympics and withdrew midway, citing 'twisties'. She contacted the alpine skier and reassured her of her ability after Shiffrin faced backlash for her Olympic unsuccess.

"Hey, it's OK. This stuff happens. You're still amazing, who cares about the comments?" Biles' told Shiffrin (via Olympics.com).

In another light-hearted instance, Biles claimed that Mikaela Shiffrin would be good at balance beam had she pursued gymnastics. The latter also chose Biles as someone who would excel in slalom for her strength and agility (via Olympic.com).

Biles will look to secure a berth at the 2024 Paris Olympics by competing at the third Olympic Trials of her career while Shiffrin awaits the 2024/25 alpine skiing season to take off.
