Mikaela Shiffrin's fiancé Aleksander Kilde recently reacted to his countrymate Fredrik Moeller's World Cup race in Bormio, Italy. Moeller clinched the victory in this Super-G race held on Sunday (Nov 29) after clocking a time of 1:29.22.

This victory also happened to be the 24-year-old's first Ski World Cup victory of his career. He defeated the likes of Vincent Kriechmayr and Alexis Monney, who eventually finished second and third in 1:29.42 and 1:29.46 respectively.

Kilde, being one of the senior Norwegian skiers, took little time to praise the impressive performance of his countrymate. He took to his Instagram handle to share a video of Moeller's race.

"Steady Freddy!! You Beast," Aleksander Kilde wrote on his Instagram stories.

Moeller also earned a Super-G top-10 finish a few days ago in Val Gardena. He bagged the fourth spot in the race after clocking 1:28.77. On the other hand, Kilde is currently recovering from the injuries he faced after his crash at Wengen in January and is expected to be out for the entirety of the 2024-25 skiing season.

Aleksander Kilde expressed his happiness after being able to ski in the mountains during the 2024 Stifel Birds of Prey. The event took place between December 6-15 in Colorado.

In an interview, Kilde stated his happiness at being in the mountains once again amid his recovery process. He also mentioned that being able to ski during this event was an 'emotional' moment for him. The Norwegian said (via Vail Daily):

"I mean, it’s definitely different. I’m just super happy and my soul is super happy to be back on the mountain, honestly. It’s been a long journey. Actually, to be able to ski some turns today, that was emotional. It was beautiful, actually to be here."

Kilde also shared a video of his skiing session at the Birds of Prey event on his Instagram handle. He remarked in the caption:

"Doc’s gave me permission to do some cruising, and trust me I’m soaking it in"

Kilde's last World Cup victory came last year in November when he won the Downhill race in Beaver Creek, United States. He clocked a run-time of 1:39.68 at the event.
