Mondo Duplantis' fiancee Desire Inglander wished the Olympic champion with a heartfelt message on his 25th birthday. The couple recently got engaged after four years of dating.
While Duplantis and Inglander first met at a midsummer party in 2020, the latter wasn't interested in dating anyone at the time. The pole vault champion tried to set up a date with Inglander but didn't find any success in the first few weeks.
However, the Vogue Scandinavia model agreed when Duplantis had to leave for training in the United States. The pair have been dating since, and are closer than ever to tying the knot after getting engaged last month.
Duplantis, who was born on November 10, 1999, celebrated his 25th birthday on Sunday with Inglander. The Swedish influencer penned a heartwarming note for the Olympic champion. She shared a video of them in the pool, calling Duplantis the person who makes her laugh the most.
"Happy birthday to the person who makes me laugh the most. 25! I love you @mondo_duplantis," she captioned.
Inglander also shared a small glimpse from his birthday party and the pair could be seen enjoying the occasion in each other's arms.
Desire Inglander drops a hint about wedding with Mondo Duplantis
Mondo Duplantis' girlfriend Desire Inglander recently hinted at her wedding with the Olympic champion. While it's only been a month since their engagement, they have seemingly started planning for the biggest day of their life.
Inglander posted on her Instagram story on November 6 that she was looking for wedding planners, which likely means they are planning to tie the knot in 2025.
The couple announced their engagement on October 11, a few days after the ceremony had taken place during their shoot with Vogue Scandinavia in East Hampton, New York. While it was the pole vault world record holder who had planned the surprise, he found himself in the most nervous moment of his life.
"I can safely say it’s the most nervous I’ve been in my life. I had a few lines that I thought I was going to say, but I lost my words. I completely froze," he told Vogue Scandinavia in an interview.
Duplantis continued his dominance in the pole vault discipline and broke the world record multiple times in the 2024 season. He also won his second Olympic title in Paris.
