Noah Lyles' girlfriend and 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Junelle Bromfield recently shared her opinion about driving the SUV car a few months after it was gifted to her by her boyfriend Lyles. This comes after the conclusion of the 2024 Paris Olympics in which both Lyles and Bromfield competed.
Lyles gifted the car (Genesis GV70 2024 model) to Bromfield earlier this year in April, costing approximately $47,000. The model is embedded with numerous features, including a driving assistant safety system and an advanced rear occupant alert system.
However, even with these exquisite features, Bromfield is not so fond of driving her luxury car. The Jamaican track and field athlete recently took to her Instagram handle to share that even after spending so much of her time with the car, she is still not comfortable driving the vehicle. She wrote on her story:
"One year + A car loaded with safety features later and I still hate driving"
Junelle Bromfield opens up about the welcome she got from her teammates at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Junelle Bromfield recently opened up about the manner in which she was treated by her teammates at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This came after Bromfield's boyfriend Noah Lyles revealed that he had been receiving news about the Jamaican track and field camps for the last few years in an interview.
Owing to this comment from Lyles, Bromfield faced a lot of hatred and trolls on her social media handles from Jamaican fans. Speaking during an episode of Sim Soul Sessions with Sim Clarke Cooper, Bromfield spoke about the impact that this online hate had on her relationship with Jamaican teammates.
During the conversation, the Jamaican native also made a special mention of track legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who was one of the first members of the camp to welcome her. She said:
"When I got there (Olympic Village) the way the internet was behaving, I didn’t know how I would be received. I got there Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was the first one to be like, “Hot girl Junelle!” She greeted me just like normal."
Junelle Bromfield's Paris Olympics campaign ended on a disappointing note as she failed to clinch a single medal across the two events (400m dash and 4x400m relays) that she competed in.
