"My first fashion show" - Noah Lyles' girlfriend Junelle Bromfield gets ready for her model debut at New York Fashion Week after online abuse

Noah Lyles' girlfriend Junelle Bromfield recently expressed excitement for her first appearance at a fashion show. Bromfield is set to debut as a runway model at the New York Fashion Week, slated from September 6 to 11, 2024.

Following the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Jamaican sprinter opened up on encountering severe criticism online. The Olympian faced intense backlash over her skin tone and physical appearance.

Bromfield took to social media to address the criticisms and wrote:

"I grew up hearing black is not beautiful, Your hair is dry, your mouth is too big, your forehead too high and when you throw all those insults behind you and start walking with confidence the best compliment you get is your pretty for a black girl."

"I honestly thought we were past colorism in Jamaica, especially as a nation that is filled with black people. I have been getting cyberbullied for weeks and when it gets talked about I’m a liar because no Jamaican was coming for my features," she added.

With unwavering confidence and unfazed by the pushback, Bromfield is all set for her much-anticipated debut in New York.

"Walking in my first fashion show tmrw 🥳🎊. #nyfw," she wrote.

Following their Paris Olympics campaigns, Noah Lyles and his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield have been navigating a busy schedule, attending events and making media appearances. They both were recently spotted at the 2024 US Open.

The couple was seen delighting in the women's final round clash between Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula. Both the sprinters graced the spectator's area with their premium fashion. They were spotted donning coordinated white ensembles.

Noah Lyles opted for white pants by Karu Research with a white tank t-shirt and paired it with a white loose-fit jumper from Loewe, featuring several patterns. He also sported Omega's watch and Adidias's shoes. He completed the look with his diamond-studded "ICON" necklace and unique black Tomford sunglasses.

Bromfield wore a classy white dress with a low-cut neckline and paired it with the thin necklace and diamond studs. She wore big sunglasses and had her hair in a unique braided fashion. Adding a pop to her attire, she opted for a yellow bag and heels.
