He is currently gearing up for the Paris Olympics and has opened up about his mindset for the competition in a recent video shared by Fitzdunk on Instagram. In the video, the Jamaican revealed his main focus and his main quest.

"My main focus is on the track on this very moment," said Thompson. "Those are like one would say side quest or side accomplishment, just come with the territory but my main focus, my main quest is train, stay healthy, and do what I gotta do on the track."

Kishane Thompson opens up about getting selected for doping during the Jamaican Olympic trials

Kishane Thompson recently opened up about being questioned for too long by Doping Control at the trials. The 22-year-old Jamaican was in the limelight after his impressive performance in the men's 100m dash at the Jamaican Olympic trials.

With his run, he became the favorite for the Olympic gold medal; however, his pursuit was interrupted by the doping officials just after he won the semi-finals of the event.

"As soon as I finished the race, I saw the doping officers," said Thompson. "It was nearby and they said, 'Hey Kishane, I selected you for doping,2 and I said 'Excuse Me?' I didn't understand coz this is just the heats."

Kishane Thompson also revealed that he questioned the officer for suspecting him before the finals.

"I asked them, 'How do you go about this? I thought it is just the finals, coz I understand it is about the finals. They said, "No, I randomly choose you in terms of what I saw. How effortlessly I ran that [9.82 seconds], I PBd, and I didn't compete this season, so you look suspicious I guess"

However, despite the interrogation, the sprinter went on to clock the world lead in the finals and qualify for the Paris Olympics. He will next be seen in a terrific showdown against another 100m favorite, Noah Lyles, at the 2024 Summer Games, which is slated from July 26 to August 11.
