Sha'Carri Richardson spoke about her favourite parts of glam, notably her long nails in a video with Sprite. Earlier this year, the 24-year-old signed a multi-million deal with the iconic brand for their 'Obey Your Thirst' campaign.

Sha'Carri Richardson revealed her love for getting her makeup and hair done, noting that she enjoyed the whole process as she was the center of attention.

As the American gears up for the Paris Olympics, she will certainly be one athlete who will look to stun with her unique fashion sense from her hair to her face beat and nails.

Speaking in the video shared on Instagram, the reigning world 100m champion disclosed that her first memory of getting her hair done was when she was in school and she would straighten her hair at home before taking photos at school.

"My favorite part of glam is…everything. I enjoy the moment of getting my hair done, I enjoy getting my face beat…I enjoy getting my nails slayed. I definitely enjoy the process because for me, I’m just sitting there and they doing all the work, and I’m the canvas," Richardson said.
"My earliest memory of getting my hair and nails done would be sitting in my big mama kitchen with a hot comb, getting my hair straightened for pictures for school," she added.

Sha'Carri Richardson insisted on how her nails have always been an important aspect of her glam. She recalled the first time getting her nails done, which was with her young aunt and she never looked back since then.

Richardson has always been known to have very iconic and long nails that always stand out during competitions.

"And my first moment getting my nails done, actually my aunt, my youngest aunt took me and went and got our nails done and I remember they were pink with a cheetah print," the 24-year-old said.
"Yeah, that was a moment, but that was the first time and from there I was hooked on my nails. Nails have always been my art like they’ve always had my attention," she added.

Sha'Carri Richardson expressed a series of emotions after qualifying for the women’s 100m at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The 24-year-old, speaking during a post-race press conference after punching her ticket to Paris, disclosed that everything she has been working on has paid off well with the qualification.

In the final of the women’s 100m race, Sha'Carri Richardson clocked an astonishing world-leading time of 10.71 to cut the tape ahead of Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry who finished second and third in 10.80 and 10.89 respectively.

"I feel honored. I feel every chapter I’ve been through in my life prepared me for this moment. The message I would say now is believe in yourself, no matter what outside noise is going on, remain solid in yourself," she said.
"Not just yourself, your faith. Those are two things that will never change, as long as you don't change. Stay grounded in yourself and as well as your hard work every day that you go out," Richardson added.

Sha'Carri Richardson will compete in her maiden edition of the Olympics after missing out on the Tokyo Games due to suspension.

The 24-year-old is bound to face some stiff competition in the 100m event from the likes of Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. She will aim to become the first American to clinch gold in 100m since Gail Devers in 1996.
