The NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships 2024 just concluded after an incredible season of fierce competitiveness and action-packed performances. The finals were held on Saturday, April 20, with four teams in contention for the coveted national title.
The four teams that qualified for the finals after incredible regional performances were LSU, California, Utah, and the Florida Gators. LSU was competing in its fourth consecutive NCAA gymnastics finals, intending to clinch the program's first national title.
LSU dominated the regular season with an all-win home season. As the team was in great form, fans anticipated them to do well in the finals. Living up to everyone's expectations, LSU clinched their first NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship title this year.

The LSU Tigers began the final with great momentum and led the pack in the first two rotations. As Utah picked up, LSU lost their lead but got themselves back in the top position after a strong beam balance rotation, with five gymnasts exceeding a score of 9.9 to eventually take the title home with a score of 198.2250.
LSU's Haleigh Bryant and Aleah Finnegan did well in the finals in all rotations. Bryant won the all-around, posting a score of 39.7125. Leanne Wong of the Florida Gators topped the individual charts in the floor routine and the bars.
The University of California stood second in the overall ranking of the final match with a score of 197.8500, narrowly missing out on the title. Utah took the third position, closing the season with a score of 197.8500 and Florida took the fourth position with a score of 197.4375 in the finals.
