Nebraska Volleyball's Bergen Reilly recently showcased the new collection of the team's outfits for the new season. The team's NCAA Women's Division I National Championships journey ended in the semi-final round of the tournament last month.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers squared off against Penn State in the semi-final but fell short. The former dominated in the first two sets but Penn State picked up momentum from the third set onwards and owned the match, qualifying for the finals, 23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 28-26, and 15-13. Reilly is now gearing up for the upcoming volleyball season and is ready to represent the team.
She took to her Instagram handle, sharing a carousel of pictures where she showcased the Nebraska sweatshirt, red-colored Husker varsity jacket, and the team's t-shirt. Posing in these uniforms, she added a caption:
"Repping the Huskers the right way with @charliehustleco and Team Hustle❤️🔥❤️🔥"
Bergen Reilly joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers in July 2021 and has had a notable career since then, including being named Big Ten Setter of the Year for two consecutive years. She also played a significant role in helping her team reach the final four at the 2024 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championships. The player had turned emotional after her team's semi-final loss in the tournament.
Bergen Reilly on Nebraska Volleyball's Final-Four loss
In the post-game interview, Bergen Reilly opened up about the Nebraska Cornhuskers' loss at the Final Four. She was visibly emotional while speaking about her team's performance and credited Penn State for their dominance. Reilly said the loss did hurt her and the team.
"I mean, you have to give it so much credit to Penn State. They really flipped a switch and turned it on I don't know; I wouldn't say anything about us. I think it was all just they put a really great last three sets and we couldn't really stop them so, tough way to go out and it hurts for sure but you have to give all the credit to them," Bergen Reilly said (via YouTube channel '1011 News' from 0:01 onwards).
The American athlete also penned an emotional note for the players who made their final appearances this year and would turn pro, such as Lexi Rodriguez. Reilly took to her Instagram handle and wrote:
"Words cannot express how thankful I am for this group of women. I will cherish the memories made and the bonds created this year forever. To Lexi, Merritt, Kenna, Lindsay, and Leyla, you all have had such an impact on me, this program, and the sport of volleyball as a whole. You have turned this team into a family."
Bergen Reilly extended gratitude toward the five players turning pro and exuded excitement for playing again for Nebraska in the next season.
