Nebraska Volleyball's Harper Murray makes her feelings known as the team's new recruits win major awards

Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball player Harper Murray reacted to her team's two recruits, Teraya Sigler and Campbell Flynn, receiving major awards. Both Flynn and Sigler will be joining the Huskers program in 2025 along with a few other names such as Ryan Hunter, Keri Leimbach, and Manaia Ogbechie.

Flynn received the Gatorade Player of the Year 2024 award for the Michigan region while Sigleer bagged the honor for the Arizona region. Sigler played as an outside hitter and has 619 kills to her name at an average of 5.9 kills per set. On the other hand, Flynn is a setter and has a total of 737 kills and 679 digs to her name across her varsity career.

The Huskers Volleyball's Instagram handle shared a post to celebrate this major achievement of their two recruits. It wrote in the caption:

"It’s in them. ⚡️Incoming Huskers @teraya.sigler & @campbell.flynn06 have been named @gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona and Michigan, respectively!"

Harper Murray, who is going to be their senior in the program, reacted to the post and expressed her pride in these two players. She shared the post on her stories and added:

"Look at the babies!!! proud of you guys"

Following the departure of the senior players such as Merritt Beason and Lexi Rodriguez from the program, Murray will be one of the senior players in the 2025 season where she will be in her third season with the team.


Harper Murray gives a reply to the social media trolls and ill comments

Harper Murray recently commented on the ill comments she has received on her social media handles.

Murray spoke about several social media posts with nasty comments about her and also remarked that these trollers won't like the same treatment. She said (via her TikTok handle at 2:17):

"I truly don’t understand how some of you guys can wake up in the morning, open your phone, type something so nasty and rude about somebody, and post it and think that it’s a good idea. Because first of all, if someone said that about your sister, your daughter, your cousin, your best friend, I guarantee you wouldn’t like it.”

In the video, Harper Murray also mentioned that these social media comments and trolls impacted her mental health negatively.
