Nebraska volleyball's Harper Murray pens an emotional note for teammates after heartbreaking final four loss

Nebraska volleyball's Harper Murray penned a heartfelt note for her teammates after the Huskers crashed out of the final four after a thrilling match against Penn State in Louisville, Kentucky. The volleyball player expressed her gratitude for being able to represent Nebraska Volleyball on such a major stage as well as reflected on great moments with her teammates throughout the season.

The semi-final face-off raised great anticipation among fans and lived up to the hype as Penn State pulled a reverse sweep after trailing behind in the first two sets. Nebraska began the game with great offense however, the momentum began to shift toward Penn State, who dominated the rest of the game to book a seat to the finals.

As the team lost out on the opportunity to compete in the finals after an incredible run throughout the season, Harper Murray shared her thoughts with an emotional note.

She reflected on their journey as a team as well as expressed her gratitude for the memories they had created together. As she bid goodbye to the season, Murray shared an optimistic outlook and expressed her desire to come back next year.

"I have never been more proud.This group of girls helped me find a smile that I thought was gone forever and I am so damn proud. Being surrounded by people who refuse to give up on you and stay by your side is the biggest gift of all time," she wrote.
"I love this team with all of my heart and am forever grateful for every memory we have together. Volleyball isnt about wins, losses, kills, stats...its about finding the positive and being proud of the growth we have made as people and to enjoy what we did together. gbr forever see u next year," she added.

After the conclusion of Nebraska Volleyball's run in the 2024 season, Harper Murray took to Instagram to speak about her struggles. The Volleyball player revealed that the year was full of ups and downs as she struggled with her mental health. However, she managed to persevere and emerge stronger both emotionally as well as on the volleyball court.

"As many of you know, 2024 has been a rollarcoaster. There will always be a side of someone that people don't see and there is always more to the story than what is shown on social media. My struggle with mental health has been nothing short of exhausting yet rewarding. I was able to persevere through my struggles and come out the other end as a better volleyball player but most importantly a better human being."

Furthermore, she thanked her fans for their unwavering support throughout the NCAA season as well as the people who believed in her and never gave up on her during her shortcomings.
