Harper Murray previews the 2025 season: "The leadership side of things is going to be big for us"
Harper Murray unveiled her plans for the upcoming 2025 volleyball season, talking about the absence of two of her seniors, Lexi Rodriguez and Merrit Beason, who turned pro after their 2024 NCAA season. Speaking about making up for their absence, both physically and mentally, she said (via @HailVarsity on X):
"The leadership side of things is going to be big for us. Merritt and Lexi are leaving, and we're going to need people to step up, and that's something I hope to step into, but more mentally, I think that's where the growth is going to come, and physically, volleyball is a game of errors and momentum, so that's always something to keep in back of your head," she said.
Murray recently exuded excitement for returning to the women's NIT as a presenting player. She will visit the Kansas City Convention Centre on February 14 for NIT, Triple Crown Volleyball, where she will be involved in meaningful conversations, including growth in the sport and her mental health struggles.
The 19-year-old had an impressive 2024 NCAA season, with a career-high 22 kills and hits in the game against Dayton in December 2024.
