Noah Lyles and girlfriend Junelle Bromfield hold hilarious "Hurricane Karaoke Session" as couple spends off-season in Florida

Noah Lyles and girlfriend Junelle Bromfield were seemingly having fun amid the Hurricane scare in Florida as the couple organized a Karaoke session. The Olympic champion has previously stated his love for music, particularly karaoke sessions, and has also released some songs.

Lyles had a spectacular 2024 season before COVID cut his dreams, and season, short at the Paris Olympics. After winning the 100m title, the American was the favorite for the 200m before he got hit by COVID. He nonetheless ran the race, and came out of it with a bronze medal, one that he said was his important one.

Meanwhile, his girlfriend had arguably one of the best seasons of her career so far. Bromfield broke her personal best in the 400m at the Jamaican National Championships and won her maiden individual Olympic berth. Although she failed to qualify for the final in Paris, the Jamaican did run in the mixed 4x400m relay final, with her country finishing fifth.

Both Lyles and Bromfield ended their seasons after the Paris Olympics, and have been spending their off-season together in Florida lately. The Jamaican this week shared a sneak peek of their time in Florida, enjoying a hilarious karaoke session as Hurricane Milton arrives in Florida. The couple shared loud laughs, to the point of falling on the floor, before Lyles performed some fun dance moves.

The 27-year-old loves music and has produced a few songs of his own as well. His tracks include " Praise," "Universal Love," and "By Your Lonely," and can be found on both Spotify and Apple Music. The Olympic champion’s music has largely been in the hip-hop and rap genres.

Noah Lyles' comments earlier this year on a podcast, Track World News, triggered months-long criticism against Junelle Bromfield after the Olympic champion claimed he was updated about Jamaican athletes through his girlfriend. However, he apologized after the incident to Bromfield and promised to make things better for her.

The Jamaican sprinter recently opened up about her ordeals on the ‘Sim Soul Sessions’ podcast, saying she had received death threats after the American's comments had gone viral.

In this interview, a clip of Lyles was shown, with the American sharing a message of support for Bromfield. He praised her strength and resilience through tough times. He said,

"I'm just here to probably vocalize some of the ways that I feel that you've shown your resilience and shown your strength and it's hard at times I know, but you know, you're a game changer you might not want to be, that's what you are" [35:28].

The couple met in 2017 and were friends for several years before the relationship blossomed into romance in 2022.
