Fans have reacted to IShowSpeed's intriguing claim after his race against Noah Lyles. The YouTuber claimed athletes were reluctant to face him, following a 50m-dash faceoff between Lyles and himself. The latter said that "everybody" was scared of him.
During a live streaming session on social media, Mr.Beast, an American YouTuber organized a high-stakes showdown between Lyles and Speed, offering $100k to the winner. Initially, the social media personality rejected the challenge, stating long-distance as a reason for not competing.
However, after Lyles and Mr.Beast's prodding, Speed accepted the challenge and displayed his unbelievable skills, narrowly losing to Lyles with a razor-thin gap.
Days after this contest, Speed said on his stream that "all the professionals" are scared to race him.
He said,
“Now, everybody is scared to race me. I’m not about to say no names, but all these people who are professionals.. whatever they’re professionals at… they are scared to race me."
Many fans called out Speed's comment, with one of them suggesting it to be exaggerated.
"That is cap, Noah was clearly not trying."
Another fan backed the American sprinter while stating the Speed stood no chance of winning against the Olympian.
"Noah was just jogging. Speed had zero chance."
One of the fans suggested Lyles wasn't taking the race seriously and wrote,
"Imagine thinking Noah was taking that race seriously"
