"Till the wheels fall off 🤍😍"
From former Olympic champions like Justin Gatlin and Angelo Taylor to current champions like Noah Lyles, several athletes took to Instagram to congratulate the couple on the joyous occasion.
Gatlin blessed the couple with a two-word reaction.
"EPIC 🔥❤️🔥!!!! Congratulations 🍾🎊🎉," wrote the former sprinting legend.
Qatari hurdler and Olympian Abderrahman Samba congratulated Simbine on the wedding as he wrote,
"Congratulations brother, I wish you a happy life 🙌🏽🎊"
Noah Lyles, who won the men's 100m event at the Paris Olympics, dropped a one-word reaction on the occasion.

South African discus thrower Francois Otieno Prinsloo, who participated in the Paris Olympics, wrote,
"Bro really said: "Silver isn't enough I need a diamond"💯🤍 Conrgats to the gorgeous couple!"
Angelo Taylor, who once ruled the 400m hurdles event at Sydney Olympics and Beijing Olympics, wrote,
"Congrats bro!"
Akani Simbine had a roller-coaster ride at the Paris Olympics. While Simbine missed the podium finish in the 100m finals by a whisker, he went on to deliver a historic silver medal for South Africa in the 4x100m relay event at the Paris Olympics.
Akani Simbine's initiative to give back to the community and his life away from the track
Before the wedding, Akani Simbine and his wife Terisa decided to give back to society. They announced the launch of the Akani Simbine Foundation, which aims to give new opportunities to children.
According to the page description on Instagram,
"Founded by @akani_simbine and his wife, @txrisa, this foundation is built on a deep passion for giving back and creating opportunities for children. 🌍
Akani, a world-class athlete who never forgot his roots, uses the power of sports to open doors for kids, advocates for education, and supports children who have experienced abuse and neglect. "
Apart from the above, Simbine is also focusing on the mental health issues, which he had to face as well in the run-up to the Paris Olympics. Recounting the tragic fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics, the South African sprinter mentioned in an interview with Olympics.com,
"I finished fourth in the 100m at Tokyo 2020 and fell into a depression right after. I wasn't seeing a therapist at the time, and I didn't have anything else to protect me from the disappointment of my performance."
Simbine further added,
"Looking back on it now, I had really taken myself to an extreme level. My identity was Akani the athlete and nothing else. Then, when something didn't go my way, I didn't feel good about myself and had negative thoughts."
Akani Simbine had run the anchor leg in the preliminaries and the finals of the men's 4x100m relay at the Paris Olympics. Despite missing the gold medal by a whisker, Simbine had created history for South Africa, since they had never won an Olympic medal in the men's 4x100m relay event.
