Noah Lyles is one of the biggest, and by far, one of the most popular American track and field stars in the world. The reigning world champion in the 100m and 200m made a dominating start to the 2024 season and is looking in great form ahead of the Paris Olympics.
Lyles kicked off the season with a sensational victory at New Balance Grand Prix, clocking a personal best of 6.44s to win the 60m gold. He then beat world record holder Christian Coleman at the 2024 USATF Indoor Championships before settling for a silver at the World Athletics Indoor Championships, clocking another PB of 6.43s on both occasions.
The 26-year-old then progressed to the much-awaited Outdoor season but didn't get the start he would have liked. Lyles took part in the Florida Relays but couldn't finish the race after a miscommunication during the baton exchange.
The Olympic medalist later competed in the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in the 100m event. Noah Lyles clocked an impressive 10.01s to win the race ahead of fellow American Kenny Bednarek who clocked a similar timing of 10.01s.
With only 100 days remaining for the Paris Olympics 2024, Lyles is gearing up to be in the best possible shape and is slated to compete next at the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix on April 28th. The highly anticipated event will feature athletes from 20 countries as 100m, 200m and 400m events headline the meet.
Noah Lyles is likely to be seen in action in the 100m sprint, and the world champion will be gearing up to go sub-10s.
