Noah Lyles reacted to the spate of engagements within the track world in less than a month. Apart from Lyles' engagement to Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield, Olympic champions Ryan Crouser and Mondo Duplantis have also announced their engagements recently.

Lyles took to his X account to express his thoughts about the coincidence:

"This is really engagement month"

Lyles wrote this only hours after Crouser announced his engagement with former pole vaulter Megan Clark, whom he had proposed on a yacht. The Olympic champion shot putter took to Instagram to announce the special occasion:

"She Said Yes!!! 💍Thank you Trentino, Lake Garda will always have a special place in our hearts. #engagement #lakegarda"

Meanwhile, Duplantis, who won the Olympic gold medal in the pole vault, got engaged to his longtime girlfriend and Swedish influencer Desire Inglander. Duplantis had accompanied her to her photoshoot for Vogue Scandinavia, where he surprised her by proposing.

As Inglander agreed, the Swedish-American pole vaulter organized a party with members from both families and uploaded photographs of the same on his Instagram, with the caption:

"I'm the luckiest man in the world"

Noah Lyles recently got engaged to his longtime Junelle Bromfield. She represents Jamaica in the 400m and 4x400m relay events. She won an Olympic bronze medal as a part of the Jamaican 4x400m relay team at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield announced their engagement on October 13. The two have known each other since 2017, but it wasn't until 2022 that they made their relationship official.

Lyles uploaded a reel of his proposal to Bromfield on his Instagram account, captioning it:

"To My Future Wife I Will Love You Forever 💍"

In an "Inside Track" podcast broadcasted in March 2024, Lyles talked about what made Bromfield special:

"Hearing stuff like that [referring to her honesty] I was like, oh my gosh, I need this woman in my life. I already liked you [Junelle Bromfield] but that’s a solidified answer of like, okay, we’re going to grow old together, and it’s going to be forever, and it’s going to be constant. Hearing things like that is like, yeah, I’d want a woman like that to raise my kids.”

The relationship between the two further solidified when Lyles came out in support of Bromfield, who was reportedly subject to cyberbullying by some Jamaican accounts before and after the Paris Olympics. In one of his Instagram posts, he said:

"But the most impressive thing I’ve seen recently is how she’s dealt with the pure disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country. This woman has been attacked by people who have never met her, heard her name before, never seen her smile, or heard what she believes in."

Junelle Bromfield has lived in the USA since the Paris Olympics ended. She accompanied Noah Lyles to his hometown, Alexandria, where he was honored for his achievements at the Paris Olympics.
