Noah Lyles recently got engaged to his long-time girlfriend and now fiance, Junelle Bromfield, a Jamaican track athlete. The American athlete reflected on the week, embracing the special moment of getting engaged with the love of his life in the presence of his friends and family.
The couple announced their engagement on October 12 by sharing a joint post on Instagram. Lyles shared a video of the grand proposal, which at first showcased the location where a giant pink heart decorated with pink roses was placed with 'Will You Marry Me?' engraved on large cutouts on the side. It was then followed by the couple entering the location by holding hands, where Noah wore a black tuxedo and Bromfield donned a stunning silver-colored dress.
At the end of the video, Lyles sat on one knee, making the proposal, which was followed by an adorable kiss. The post's caption read:
"To My Future Wife, I Will Love You Forever."
Days after announcing their engagement, Noah Lyles shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram, reminiscing on the special weekend he spent with Bromfield and his friends and family. The first picture was an adorable one of the couple hugging each other while sitting on a yacht; it was followed by a picture of Noah, his brother Josephus Lyles, and a few of their friends. It also carried a video where Bromfield was seen giving an emotional toast about the special day. She said:
"So, first of all, I thank all of you guys for being here in my special moment. I am extremely happy and grateful to everyone of you guys, and I hope you guys will also be along with us for the rest of our journey. Thank you very much."
Noah Lyles showed great support to Junelle Bromfield amidst online controversy
Noah Lyles recently made a controversial comment about knowing inside information about the Jamaican camp that nobody else knew, and he credited his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield. This created a huge controversy and led to her receiving immense hate online, especially from the Jamaicans. Amid this, Lyles showcased an adorable sign of support by penning a heartfelt note for her on his Instagram account, lauding her for her strength.
"I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of my GF and give her the flowers she deserves now 💐. She has been through so much in her life that I could never imagine fighting through. Beyond that she is a survivor, 2x Olympian, Olympic medalists, Multi world championship medalist, and has been representing Jamaica on the world stage since she was 8 years old," Noah Lyles wrote.
He added:
"But the most impressive thing I’ve seen recently is how she’s dealt with the pure disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country. This woman has been attacked by people who have never met her, heard her name before, never seen her smile, or heard what she believes in. But she keeps moving forward knowing that God will always make a way. Thats why God keeps blessing her!"
Noah Lyles recently concluded his 2024 season after winning two medals at the Paris Olympics, of which one was gold, which he won in the 100m dash, and a bronze medal, which he bagged in the 200m event.
