Noah Lyles on bringing up hype with 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' cards

Noah Lyles has been making several efforts to make track and field a global sport. With great performances on the track, Lyles believes that the events should be more fan-focused to reach a worldwide audience. Keeping this in mind, Lyles spoke about unconventionally hyping the crowd by displaying 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' cards at the start line.
Speaking about the main motive behind 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' cards at the U.S. Olympic Trials he said:
"It was actually a dare. I was doing a podcast with Chase Ealey, two-time World Champion in Shot Put and we are both anime fans and she was like 'Yeah you got to pull out Exodia before you run' and I'm like what? I was like if I manage to pull out Exodia then you have to do the Rock Lee weight drop, and she did."
After his victorious pursuits at the Paris Olympics, Lyles received a major hamper from Konami, the manufacturer of the Yu-Gi-Oh!
