Olivia Dunne opens up on her decision to return to LSU Tigers for fifth year
Olivia Dunne reflected on her decision to come back for a fifth year to the LSU Tigers during her red carpet appearance at the 2024 ESPY Awards. In an interaction with Parker Bell - the social content coordinator at ESPN LA, she spoke about the decision, stating:
“I kind of knew right after we won the National Championship that I wanted to potentially do it again. So, I decided right after my season but I'd been keeping it on the down low until this past week. But, just winning with my team and making history I knew that was something that I want to do again, and winning is addicting. So, I was like, ‘Let's do it again.’” [0:11 onwards]
At the ESPY Awards, she turned heads in a shimmery golden gown with a pleated design and halter neckline. Her LSU Tigers teammates were also in attendance at the occasion.
Notably, Dunne was instrumental in LSU Gymnastics’ first NCAA Championship victory in 2024 as she stepped in with her routines whenever the team needed her throughout the season, despite not competing in the finals.
